Stash

Stash tabs for Google Chrome.

  • Can set keyboard shortcuts.
    • You can only set one or two keys, three keys will not work.
    • F1-F12 displays wrongly, e.g. F8 displays as w but it functions.
  • Only stash tabs in one window.
  • Can ignore pinned tabs.
  • Clean UI.
  • Store tabs as bookmarks.

Alternatives

I mostly use stash:

  • Move bookmarks to StashList_rotated manually to keep the stash list short. (Its UI seems designed for a few stashes. Too many stashes makes the list hard to scroll.

  • I alsoh have SessionBuddy instead incase I need to manage complex sessions.

  • SessionBuddy

    • Pro: Clean modern UI.
    • Does not offer a keyboard but there is a context menu item. And there are shortcuts in SessionBuddy tab.
    • Use its own storage. Can be exported to txt, json, csv, html and markdown.

  • FreshStart cons

    • No keyboard shortcut and Save button has distance to toolbar button.
    • IMO UI looks unsexy.

  • SessionManager

    • Pro: open source.
    • UI is not sexy but clean.
    • Con: No keyboard shortcut for "save" and if you do not want to input a session name, you have the small "save temp session" link.
