We will probably be using OnShape as our CAD program. It's free for educational use, runs in a web browser, and makes it easy to share designs among the team.

To learn CAD for robotics, I recommend this course: FRC Design learning course It's for FRC, but it's the best option I've found so far.

If you're using a laptop for CAD, I recommend plugging in a mouse, as I've found it a lot easier to navigate with a mouse than with a touchpad. You can also get OnShape for the iPad, though I haven't tried it.
