Viewing a Qur'an Passage

This help document provides an overview of the functionalities available when viewing a Qur'an passage in Qur'an Tools.

Key Features

• Arabic Text Displays the original Arabic text of the verse.
• Transliteration Transliterates the Arabic text into English letters.
• Translation Provides an English translation of the verse.
• Sura Navigation Allows users to change sura by clicking on the arrows.
• Translation Selection Users can choose alternative translations from a list.
• Back Button Returns to the Qur'an Tools home page.
• Instant Details Palette Provides linguistic information about selected words, including root, lemma, grammatical details, and search links.

Instructions

1. Perform a verse lookup or search.
2. The Qur'an browser window will appear.
3. Explore the functionalities of the browser, including:
   • Changing suras.
   • Selecting translations.
   • Accessing the Instant Details Palette.
4. Use the back button to return to the Qur'an Tools home page.

Additional Features

• Quick search links to find other occurrences of selected words.
• Dictionary entry and root/lemma visualization.

Note

• The Instant Details Palette can be cleared by moving the mouse off the selected word, clicking the X icon, or touching elsewhere on the screen.
