File:How to Lookup a Qur'an Passage
The Qur'an Tools website allows users to easily lookup specific verses or passages within the Quran. Here's a guide on how to do it:
1. Access the Search Box
- Open the Qur'an Tools home page.
- Locate the search box prominently displayed on the page.
2. Enter the Reference

Type the desired reference in the format specified below:

Single sura: 2 (for sura 2)

Range of suras: 110-114 (for suras 110 to 114)

Sura and next sura: 90f (for sura 90 and 91)

Sura to the end of the Quran: 108- or 108ff

Single verse: 19:19 (for verse 19:19)

Range of verses within a sura: 19:19-22 (for verses 19:19 to 19:22)

Range of verses across several suras: 112:1-114:2 (for verses 112:1 to 114:2)

Verse and the next verse: 40:13f (for verse 40:13 and the next)

Verse and everything after it: 106:1- or 106:1ff (for verse 106:1 and all subsequent verses in sura 106)

Discontinuous verses in a sura: 19:4,11,14,19-22,52 (for verses 19:4, 19:11, 19:14, 19:19-22, and 19:52)
3. Separate Multiple References
- Use a semicolon (;) to separate multiple references. For example:
2:34; 7:11-18; 15:29-43; 17:61-64; 18:50; 20:116-117; 38:71-83
4. Search and View Results
- Click the "Enter" key or tap the search button.
- The website will display the verses in its verse browser for further study.
