Help: Formulaic Density by Verse
This page provides detailed instructions on how to use the Formulaic Density by Verse report in Qur'an Tools.
Key Features
- Lists formulaic statistics for each verse in a sura.
- Allows users to choose formula length and type.
- Provides options to view data as a chart, list formulae, and reference verses.
- Includes columns for roots, roots involved in formulae, and formulaic density.
Instructions
- Click on any sura number in the Formulaic Density and Usage Statistics per Sura report.
- The Formulaic Density by Verse report will display.
- The report includes the following information for each verse:
- Formula length and type
- View as a chart
- List all formulae in the sura
- Reference
- Roots
- Roots involved in formulae
- Formulaic density
Additional Notes
- The report can be sorted by any column using the arrows at the top.
- Clicking on any number in the roots involved in formulae column will open the verse in the verse browser with the formulae coloured blue.
- The formulaic density chart can be viewed by clicking the st.gif icon at the top of the column.
