This page provides instructions and information about the Formulae in Common chart in Qur'an Tools.
Purpose
- To help users understand the connections between different suras in the Qur'an based on their formulaic content.
Key Features
- Visualizes the formulaic commonalities between suras in a chart.
- Allows users to filter the results based on:
- Sura to analyze
- Formula length
- Formula type
- Sura type (Meccan, Medinan, or all)
- Sorting options
Instructions
- Select the sura to analyze from the list.
- Choose the formula length and type.
- Specify the sura type to display.
- Click the "Sort By" option to sort the columns.
- Examine the chart columns to see the number of formulae in common between each sura.
- Click on a column to drill down and view verse-level detail of the formulae in common.
