Cross Referencing Formulae in Verse Selection

This page provides instructions on how to use Qur'an Tools to cross-reference formulae in a selected list of verses.

Steps

1. Click on the "Formulae" button and then "List & Cross Reference All Formulae in Selection".
2. The tool displays a report with the following information:
   • Formula length and type
   • Verse number
   • Formulae
   • Occurrences in the same sura
   • Occurrences in other suras
3. The report includes a summary showing the total number of formulae found and the number of matches in the same sura or other suras.

Additional Features

• You can choose the type of formulae to count and display.
• Formulas are accompanied by a gloss.
• You can view all occurrences of a formula in a single verse or all verses where it appears.

Note

• You can also use the "Cross Reference Formulae in Sura" tool to cross-reference formulae in a single sura.
• The "Formulaic Gloss" setting in Preferences determines whether formula glosses are displayed.
