Purpose

Qur’an Tools offers a comprehensive set of search terms and operators to help users find specific verses in the Quran. These terms and operators allow for complex and nuanced searches, enabling users to retrieve relevant verses based on their specific needs.

Search Terms

• ENGLISH Search terms in English.
• FOREIGN Search terms in foreign languages.
• SURAH Search by sura number or name.
• VERSE Search by verse number within a sura.
• RANGE Search by a range of verses within a sura.

Search Operators

• AND Returns verses that contain both search terms.
• OR Returns verses that contain either search term.
• NOT Returns verses that do not contain a specific search term.
• FOLLOWED BY Returns verses where one search term is followed by another.
• PRECEDED BY Returns verses where one search term is preceded by another.
• ADJACENT Returns verses where the two search terms are adjacent to each other.

Parentheses

• Parentheses can be used to group search terms and clarify the order of operations.

Other Operators

• ANYTHING Returns verses that do not match any of the search criteria.
• RANGE Searches within a specified range of verses within a sura.
