Webhooks - waffl3ss/HashTasker GitHub Wiki
Set a Webhook URL on a job to be notified as it progresses. The URL is kept when the job is copied.
HashTasker sends an HTTP POST with Content-Type: application/json:
{"msg": "Job 'ACME NTDS' (a1b2c3d4) completed -- 4211/9876 hashes cracked"}| Event | Example message |
|---|---|
| Created | Job '<name>' (<uid>) created -- <n> hashes, <w> workers assigned |
| Running | Job '<name>' (<uid>) is now running |
| Completed | Job '<name>' (<uid>) completed -- <cracked>/<total> hashes cracked |
| Failed | Job '<name>' (<uid>) failed |
| Cancelled | Job '<name>' (<uid>) was cancelled |
- Sent asynchronously with a 10 second timeout. Webhooks never slow down or block a job.
- No retries. Delivery failures and non-2xx responses are written to the server log with the job UID and URL.
The {"msg": ...} body is accepted directly by anything that reads a msg field. Slack, Teams, and Discord each expect their own field names (text, content, and so on), so put a small relay in between that maps msg into the platform's format.
