Lab #3 Steps - wAlber47/Tech-Journal GitHub Wiki

  1. Open your vSphere page, https://vcenter01.cyber.local or use https://viewportal.champlain.edu for remote access.
  2. Change your network settings so that dhcp01 is connected to LAN.
  3. Login to CentOS with either the root, (or if you've already set it up, the user account).
  4. Then you have to change the network settings inside the terminal.
  5. Add in a privileged user.
  6. Test your networking connection by pinging inside and outside of the network.
  7. Add in an 'A' and 'PTR' DNS record, then test it by pinging 'dhcp01-williamalber' from the wks01 workstation.
  8. Use an SSH connection from ad01 to connect to dhcp01.
  9. Now you have a remote access connection between dhcp01 and ad01.
