The goal of this page is to form a template for gathering information on prior art on a particular topic to guide the design of LWS. See here for a tracker of research topics and leads.

Prior art SHOULD include:

• Points in the existing Solid Specification where the topic is discussed (e.g. WAC/ACP for Authorisation).
  • https://solidproject.org/TR/wac
  • https://solid.github.io/authorization-panel/acp-specification/
• Surrounding specifications (e.g. the Solid Application Interoperability - SAI - specification for Authorisation).
  • https://solid.github.io/data-interoperability-panel/specification/#authorization
• Non-Solid, including appropriate W3C and non-W3C specifications that address a similar topic.
• Lessons from implementations of the current Solid specification (as pointers to existing discussions rather than text here)
• Non-Solid technical implementations that we may wish to (1) learn from (2) afford for or (3) bring into LWS to standardise with - e.g. the AWS or GDrive permissions systems for Authorisation
