Shock choc shock choc - vvandermeersch/climategrowthshifts GitHub Wiki
General question: ... (maybe: are we getting into a shockier world?)
More specific aims:
- Investigate different shockiness across species: different amplitude, different frequency? Maybe some species are getting shockier in the last decades?
- Or is it more a geographic driver of shocks regardless of species? And do we see different shock trends across biomes: like drier areas are getting more shocky, while other areas it's not changing?
- Why do some stands show higher shock concordance? Is it something related to harsh conditions? Species closer to its range limits? Other hypotheses?
Ben (Feb. 25):
Are there places where the shockiness is increasing?
$\rightarrow$ dig into these particular regions, and investigate why? Amplifying effect of heat on drought?
