Signal analyzer - voxo22/hackrf-spectrum-analyzer GitHub Wiki
The Signal Analyzer window is opened from the I/Q analyzer window. It uses the currently selected I/Q channel and runs a signal-specific decoder or measurement view.
The analyzer itself does not use context help inside the application. The individual decoder windows and tables contain many technical parameters, so this Wiki section explains the most important fields and abbreviations.

- Wi-Fi analyzer - 802.11 DSSS/OFDM acquisition, AP/client details and channel observations.
Common status line
Most modes show the tuned center frequency, I/Q sample rate, RMS level and peak sample value.
- RMS dBFS - average signal level relative to digital full scale.
- Peak - highest absolute I/Q sample value in the current processing window.
- dBFS - decibels relative to full-scale digital I/Q samples; this is not calibrated RF power.
- CFO - carrier frequency offset; estimated frequency error between the tuned center and the received signal.
- CRC OK - the decoded transport or signalling block passed its cyclic redundancy check.
wait...or--- the field is not decoded yet, not present, or not applicable.
Quality colors
- Green normally means good lock or valid decoding.
- Yellow means marginal or weak lock.
- Red means the selected signal, bandwidth, gain or tuning probably needs adjustment.
The exact quality percentage is mode-specific. It usually combines synchronization confidence, pilot/reference quality, error checks and signal level.
Important note
Many values are live estimates from the currently visible I/Q stream. They are useful for field diagnosis and signal identification, but they are not a replacement for calibrated protocol test equipment.
