Domain Configuration

  • Purchased a domain and connected with Cloudflare.

To establish a secure and globally accessible domain for the CloudCore SOC environment, a domain was purchased from the registrar Namecheap, known for its user-friendly interface and reliable services. After acquiring the domain, Cloudflare was utilized as the DNS provider to manage and resolve domain names efficiently across the globe. By configuring Cloudflare’s DNS records, the domain can be seamlessly accessed worldwide, benefiting from Cloudflare’s robust performance optimization and security features. This setup not only ensures high availability but also adds a layer of protection through Cloudflare's DNS management, contributing to a more resilient and secure SOC infrastructure.

  • Create a Microsoft 365 Tenant and Added the domain to the M365 Tenant.

Adding the domain redlab.cloud to a Microsoft 365 tenant using Cloudflare involves integrating the custom domain into the cloud environment while leveraging Cloudflare’s DNS management capabilities. After acquiring the domain and setting up Cloudflare as the DNS provider, the domain is linked to the Microsoft 365 tenant by configuring DNS records within the Cloudflare dashboard. Microsoft provides specific verification records—usually TXT or MX records—that must be added to the DNS settings on Cloudflare to prove ownership. Once these records are correctly configured and propagated, Microsoft verifies the domain, and redlab.cloud becomes an official part of the tenant. This integration allows the use of branded email addresses like [email protected] and enables centralized identity management, all while benefiting from Cloudflare’s DNS performance and security features.
