Delft FEWS provider - vcloarec/ReosProject GitHub Wiki

Since version 2.2, Lekan allows the user to load data from XML files created by Delft-FEWS software.

Data can be either rainfall data or flow data.

Rainfall data

For rainfalls, the user can load data from the rainfall manager. Two options are available:

  • By right-clicking on a zone item, the user can choose to add a station with rainfall data from a Delft-FEWS file. If the station already exists in the same zone, the user could create a new station or add the data to the existing station.
  • By right-clicking on an existing station item, the user can add data to this station from a Delft-FEWS file.

Once the user chooses one of these options, an interface is opened to allow the user to navigate through a Delft-few file and select one of the rainfall contained in the file.

Flow data

For flow, access to data is from the "Gauged hydrograph" window associated with a watershed. After a click on the Delft-FEWS button on the top-left of his windows, the user can navigate through a Delft-FEWS file and choose one of the flow data contained in the file.

Navigate through a Delft-FEWS window

After opening a Delft-FEWS data provider window, the user must choose an XML file for rainfall or flow data.

If this file contains Delft-FEWS data, a list of available data will be populated, and markers will be displayed on the map canvas for each geolocalized data. Then the user can choose data either from the list or from the map (after clicking on the button ).

Once selected, the plot displays the selected data.

Then to import the data, the user can choose to:

  • Add simply the data: an internal link to the file will be created, and data will be loaded when the user opens Lekan or the project. The data can't be modified in Lekan.
  • Add a copy of the data: the time series will be copied as a new time series in Lekan. The data can be modified, but there is no link anymore with the origin file.
