The U.S. Forms System project falls under the Cross-Agency Priority Goal of Improving Customer Experience with Federal Services within the President's Management Agenda.

Quarterly updates are provided to the project sponsor in OMB and make their way to the published CAP Goal report on Performance.gov in the following format:

Develop initial version of reusable open source form creation library (US Forms System) for use government-wide by extracting code developed at VA by USDS. 3QFY18 COMPLETE None. Code is available to the public and includes a starter app for getting started quickly.
Create and make available documentation, examples, and use cases to developers government-wide for planning, development, and pilots. 4QFY18 COMPLETE See the library and starter app repos.
Identify agency candidates for proof-of-concept pilot using US Forms System, and secure agreement for participation. 3QFY18 Candidates identified (DHS, USDA) Agencies could change priorities and drop out of the pilot. Will remain engaged on this front.
Evaluate results of pilot(s) and determine project viability to scale broadly as a government-wide open source library housed and maintained outside of USDS. 4QFY18 not started Depends on pilot completion.
