Description

A ladder is a multiblock structure that can be used to scale obstacles and reach high places.

Recipe

First carve ladder pieces from thick logs placed vertically using an Adze.

A ladder piece cannot be placed in the world by itself.

Combine 2 or 4 ladder pieces of the same wood type to craft a ladder.

Placement

A ladder requires a solid surface block to stand on and a suitable block to lean the top of the ladder against. A ladder can lean against any solid block and some transparent blocks such as tree branches.

Right click the top of a surface block when holding a ladder to place it. The ladder will be placed with such orientation so that the top is leaning against a suitable block. If multiple suitable blocks exist, the prefered orientation is the direction the player is facing.

Alternarively, right click the side of a block you wish to lean the top of the ladder against when holding a ladder to avoid any ambiguity.

Notes

• Ladders are placed with the ideal safe angle ratio of 1:4.
• In the future, it will be possible to join two ladders with hinges into a double ladder which will be able to stand on its own.
