Description

Glue is a sticky component used for hafting and sealing.

Recipe

Hide Glue is made by boiling Hide Scraps or Ruined Hide Scraps in fresh water in a Cooking Pot. A piece of hide scrap produces 50 mB of glue.

Pitch Glue is made by rendering Resin into Pitch and then mixing it with solid Wax while it is melted. For each 50mB of Pitch, which is equivalent to 1 piece of Resin, 1 piece of Wax is needed, producing 50 mB of glue.

Tallow can be used instead of Wax at the ratio of 1 oz of Tallow for each 50 mB of Pitch to make Pitch Glue.

Liquid glue will solidify when cooled down for storage and to be melted again when needed later.

Usage

Hide Glue has the following usage:

• Composite Bow limb attachment

Pitch Glue has the following usage:

• Composite Bow finish
• Waterskin sealing
• Composite Flint tool and weapon hafting (coming soon)
• Coracle construction (coming soon)

To apply glue to an item, place the item into a Cooking Pot containing liquid glue.

Different items may require different amount of glue.

Notes

• Liquid wax solidifies in a Cooking Pot removed from a heat source into 1 Wax item per 50 mB of liquid wax.
• Liquid pitch solidifies in a Cooking Pot removed from a heat source into 1 Solidified Pitch item per 50 mB of pitch.
