Fluid Mixing - unforbidable/tfcplus-bids GitHub Wiki
Description
More options for transferring liquids between containers using bottles, buckets and bowls, which complement those that already exist in TFC+. and also allow mixing fluids without a barrel.
Apart from making salt water, fluid mixing recipes have been removed in favor of mixing fluids in a large vessel with the help of Large Bowls.
Usage
Bowls can contain 250mb and glass bottles and buckets can contain 1000mb of specific liquid. Some liquids, usually those that are consumed in parts, are able to partially fill up glass bottles.
New items include:
- Bowl of Olive Oil
- Bowl of Vinegar
- Bottle of Olive Oil (partial)
- Bottle of Vinegar (partial)
- Bottle of Brine (partial)
- Bottle of Salt Water
- Bottle of Milk + Vinegar Mix
- Bottle of Honey (partial)
- Bottle of Honey Water
- Bucket of Brine
- Bucket of Milk + Vinegar Mix
- Bucket of Honey Water
Both ceramic and non-ceramic bowls can be used, and both ceramic and wooden bucket.
Mixing
Combine Salt with a Bottle of Fresh Water and an empty glass bottle to make a Bottle of Salt Water.
Combine a Bowl of Vinegar with a Bottle of Salt Water and an empty glass bottle to make a Bottle of Brine.
Combine a Bowl of Vinegar with a Bottle of Milk and an empty glass bottle to make a Bottle of Milk + Vinegar Mix.
Combine a Bowl of Honey with a Bottle of Water and an empty glass bottle to make a Bottle of Honey Water.
Bottles can be substituted with wooden or ceramic buckets in the recipes above.
The ratios of consumed materials when mixing fluids in the crafting grid is different compared to mixing fluids in barrels in that that somewhat more honey or vinegar is consumed. This follows the difference in implementation and is not intended. Perhaps it will seem closer to actual cost, and getting a barrel will mean the more of an upgrade.
Notes
- Annoyingly, a Bottle of Honey cannot be consumed.
- Milk + Vinegar Mix can be placed into a vessel or a barrel to make curdled milk and eventually cheese.
- Honey Water can be placed into a vessel or a barrel and fermented to make mead.
- The only reason why an empty bottle is required in a fluid mixing recipe is that an empty bottle is always returned and that cannot be prevented.
