Have it in mind that APT (Aptos) is not naturally promoted on Ledger Live, but you can store APT tokens using a third-party wallet compatible with Ledger devices, such as Petra Wallet or Martian Wallet.

Step-by-Step Guide to storing APT on Ledger Live 

Step # 1: Start Up Your Ledger Device

  • Make sure your Ledger device is set up with a PIN code.

  • Safely store your recovery phrase from prying eyes.

  • Make sure your Ledger Live is the latest version available.  

  • Navigate to My Ledger then app catalog to search for, find and install the Aptos app.

Step # 2: Get an Aptos-Compatible Wallet

  • Download and install Martian Wallet (or another compatible wallet, such as Petra Wallet).

  • Start up your Martian Wallet and secure your recovery phrase backup key.

Step # 3: Connect Your Preferred Ledger Device to the Martian Wallet

  • Open the Martian Wallet app.

  • Connect your preferred Ledger device by selecting the option to connect hardware wallets.

  • Proceed with on-screen instructions to pair your Ledger device with the Martian Wallet.

Step #4: Move Aptos (APT) to Your Ledger-Compatible Wallet

  • Initiate a transfer of Aptos from an exchange or any other wallet.

  • To do this, copy the Aptos address from your Martian Wallet (connected to your Ledger device).

  • Paste the address in the withdrawal section and complete the transaction.

Step #5: Confirm the Transaction

  • Check your Martian Wallet app to confirm receipt of your APT tokens.

  • Track the transaction on an Aptos block explorer for confirmation.

Important information:

  • Protect your recovery phrase and never share it.

  • Make sure the third-party wallet supports Aptos and can properly interface with your Ledger device.
