When searching Google for the UCSF library, users are presented with a sidebar summary that includes hours. As "owners" of the business, we can set certain things, but others may just be scraped from our web pages.

Owners

Directions on making changes, as described by Google. To make edits, you must be logged into a Google account that is set as an owner.

Hours

We are able to set regular hours and exceptions. However, there is usually no way to make all our regular hours CLOSED.

COVID-19

• Due to the pandemic, there is now a way to set a business as temporarily closed.
• NOTE that we have to remember to go in and update Google Business when things change.
• bulk upload is only available for accounts with 10+ locations
• On July 6, 2021 the library re-opened and Google was set to "open" but with no hours displayed

All of this is separate from our hours entered in LibCal, though they should be entered to match.
