Figma Collaboration - ucsf-ckm/ucsf-library-ux-and-web-documentation GitHub Wiki
Background
Figma is a cloud-based design tool primarily used for creating UI/UX designs, prototyping, and collaboration. In addition to commenting features, it offers real-time collaboration, allowing multiple users to work on the same design file simultaneously.
Sharing
- To share your work with collaborators, send them a link. You can copy and share links to files and prototypes, projects, and teams.
- The person's account level permissions will dictate what they can do
Permissions
As of early 2025, there are four levels with included features and pricing explained in Figma documentation. Only View seats are free.
Floating seats
Depending on collaboration needs, if we periodically need someone to have more access than View provides, we could consider adding a small number of floating Collab seats to be reassigned as needed.
