There are several ways to remote control the Parrot Disco:

standard WiFi

The stock remote transmits/receives over 2.4Ghz WiFi. In America, FCC mode allows more transmit power than the European CE mode.

You can not control the Disco over WiFi directly from phone/tablet; the remote is required.

There is no known combination of remote controller's WiFi + Repeater.

4g mobile internet

UAVpal is the home of "Disco4g", where you ad a mobile phone dongle to your Disco, and tether your remote controller to a disco

Traditional RC controller

You can use a traditional remote controller for airplanes by connecting a corresponding receiver to the bus on the back of the CHUCK. You can switch between 'manual', 'hybrid' and 'assisted' modes. You can simultaneously use WiFi for FPV/telemetry.
