Random Events - tuomount/Open-Realms-of-Stars GitHub Wiki

It is possible to allow random events to happen in galaxy. These can be configured in Galaxy Setup so that bad events will happen only those realms which are leading and good events will happen those who are last in score. It is also possible to allow all events to happen any realm

Bad Random Events

Meteor hit

Meteor crashes into planet and can kill populations or destroy buildings. This provides a more metal to planet. Defensive turret can shoot it down and then provide more metal to planet.

Deadly Virus Outbreak

This event will kill all population expect one. One population is resistant for virus. This has no effect if race is Mechion.

Mutiny

One random fleet in deep space turns into space pirates. This fleet is no longer controller by realm.

Raiders

Space pirates appear near the planet and are ready for raiding.

Solar activity increased

Solar activity increases and all planets in same system increase one radiation level.

Aggressive wild life

One planet has aggressive wild life with power 10 to 15 and planet population must fight against it.

Bad climate change

Climate change in planet that it provides less food naturally.

Massive data lost

Massive data lost in research labs. One tech research points for current level is set to zero.

Corruption scandal

Corruption scandal in government. Half of the realm's credits are gone.

Catastrophic accident

One of the planet's building explodes and kills one population.

Ruler stress

Ruler of the realm gets stressed and gains one mental perk.

Accident

Ruler encounters an accident and dies.

Terrorist attack

Terrorist attack happens on one of the planets. Population is killed and building can be destroyed. Same cases even governor might get killed.

Good Random Events

Mysterious signal

Realm's scientist receive mysterious signal from another solar system. It seems to be intelligent origin should be investigated.

Good climate change

Climate changes in planet so that it provides more food.

Technical breakthrough

Double the research points in one technology field level.

Lost treasure

Lost treasure is found from the planet which gives credits from 30 to 60.

Solar activity dimished

Solar activity has dropped and radiation level in all planet in same system has droped by one.

Deserted ship

Deserted alien ship found floating from the space. Ship was fully functioning and added realm's fleet.

Missed meteoroid

Meteoroid missed planet, but team of scientist were able to get some metal from it.

Leader level

Leader gets extra level.

Cultural hit

Cultural hit is created at planet. This event will boost planet's cultural value.
