Viking - tony48/Unofficial-KNES-Wiki GitHub Wiki
The Viking crew capsule was only intended to carry science experiments up in space. Obviously, it was rapidly stated than a Kerbal is a scientific payload. Nobody really knows how the Kerbonauts can fit inside, but one thing's for sure: it's light, it flies, and it cheaper than the classic Mk1 Capsule. That's definitely a good choice as a small-size vehicle to reach an orbiting space station, like the Solaris.
Viking fits well on top of the Carmen (Calypso) rocket, but it will obviously feel at home on any heavier Vulcain (Heracles) derived launcher. Just be sure to pack enough supplies before liftoff...
There is a standard Service Module for Viking, but you can add any amount of monoprop. you'd like, solar panels, or even a cryogenic cruising stage. Since that capsule is mainly fictionnal, nobody will hold it against you.
