Like many heavy launchers, Ariane 6 could have been widely different from what it is today. In the following pages, we'll take a look at some of those conepts.

As you'll see, they were a time when Ariane looked at their sixth rocket as a light launcher, way smaller than Ariane 5. For exemple the PPH A and PPH B concepts, based on solid fuel boosters, would have been closer to a DLA (actually, they are extremely close to the ESLM) than it is from Ariane 5. However, if you only swear by power, you may prefer the PPH C, or the "Quadri-Vulcain" concept.
