Like many heavy launchers, Ariane 5 could have been widely different from what it is today. In the following pages, we'll take a look at some of those interesting concepts.

While some Ariane 5 designs were very much enhanced Ariane 4s (Ariane 50), others are building on the actual Ariane 5. Either way, if you like the Ariane rocket family, you'll loev those concepts ! Actually, you might end up sad knowing that they will never fly... But cheer up: YOU can fly them !
