Ariane 5 - tony48/Unofficial-KNES-Wiki GitHub Wiki

Ariane 5 is a widely different design, breaking with the previous Ariane rockets, in both style and size. The Big 5 is still flying today, and it quickly became Europe's workhorse. Ariane 5 has two main versions, A5 G and A5 ECA, different by their upper stages. An ATV version also flew to send the ATV cargo to the Space Station, and it was built to launch the Hermes space shuttle into orbit (which it never did... until now I guess).
