This is the Lower Rhineland Area variant of the 2024 version of 18Rhineland. For the older version see 18Rhl.

Rules Highlights
Some major differences between 18Rhl/18Rhineland and 18Lra:
- Harbour tokens. Many corporations do have a special harbour tokens which can be placed in harbours.
- Harbour bonus does replace Industrial bonus (bonus for Steel and Coal tokens)

Implementation Notes
Some implementation changes have been done compared to the official game, based on the information in this BGG posting
- I9 has revenue 10
- K1 (Harzogenrath) should affect income and range, so we treat it as a town with variable income depending on phase
- The Coal icon in the lower left corner is only for the Aachen hex
- Jülich is one off-board area, Aachen another. Otherwise all red hexes in the south are separate off board hexes.
Some implementation choices maybe not matching the actual game.
- On the actual boards two hexes have green border, to show they cannot be upgraded to yellow before green phase. On 18xx.games we signal that with a green hex icon instead. This works just the same - when green phase start these blockers are removed.
- In Uerdingen (label UE) there is an extra stub. This is just for technical reasons to ensure tile upgrade there match the river. This makes the upgrades work as it does when playing the physical game.
- Stubs across Rhine does not have blue sides so there looks like it is a break in the river. It is just a visual thing.
- The rivers does not flow as nice on the board, or on the tiles, as they do in the physical game. Oh well, good enough.

- Harzongenrath - see above. Should this be a "neutral city" (non-tokenable) instead?
