Rules Clarifications
- Almost all rules are identical to 1880.
- The border between the Kingdom of Romania and the Austrian Hungarian monarchy is shown as a yellow solid line on the map. During the yellow phase, track construction towards the border (and therefore a connection across the border) is NOT permitted (except for the owner of private #2). From green phase on the border is ignored. Up until phase B2 (3+3 trains), the owner of private #2 receives L20 each time a connection is made across this border.
- In 1880 there are fewer train types in the game than in the original 1880. Therefore, the phase changes sometimes take place at a different time. The 4+4 is the first permanent train type and costs 600.
- Once the last 6E bought or exported, there is one last SR, then each corporation operates 3 times and the game ends.
- The Orient Express private (#8) comes with the presidency of the TR corporation. This corporation always has a 20% presidency. TR gets a L10 discount on mountain terrain lays. Unlike the BCR in 1880 China, this corporation cannot do two tiles lays during the yellow phase.
