Hardware Needed: Slick Strip tape, sold here https://www.amazon.com/Slick-Strips-Width-32-Thick/dp/B0035Y46GM

Cut two strips; one of a length of 104 mm and the other a length of 6 mm

Peel off the cover of the sticky side. The long tape goes on top of the filament spool holder. The second strip goes on the vertical part of the filament spool holder.

Once the filament holder is taped, the effort of the hot-end to pull filament from the spool is greatly reduced. Also as a side benefit, wear and tear on the inside of the spools is also reduced.
