1. preparation

1.1 Software: USB Burning tool

  • Download and extract the file Aml_Burn_Tool.zip
  • If this is your first time using the tool, click on Setup_Aml_Burn_Tool_V3.1.0.exe to install necessary drivers.
  • Next, navigate to the v2 folder and run Aml_Burn_Tool.exe.

1.2 Hardware

a) LinuxBox

b) USB Devkit

b) USB burning cable

1.3 Firmware image

Or consult the support team for the images.

Here is a pre-compiled image. If you don't have time to compile the image yourself and don't mind if it's slightly outdated, you can give it a try:

linuxbox-image-5.10.240-v1.0.0.img

2. Burning the image to LinuxBox

2.1 Start the "USB burning tools" and import the downloaded image.

2.2 Connect the LinuxBox to "USB burning tools".

2.3 When the LinuxBox connected to the "USB burning tools", Press the "Start" button to download image to LinuxBox.

2.4 Wait the application for finish the operation:

2.5 Disconnect the "USB burning cable", and press the reset button on "USB Devkit" to reboot the LinuxBox.

3. Flash the zigbee & thread board

In general, LinuxBox devices are shipped with the zigbee & thread firmware pre-installed, so users do not need to worry about flashing this themselves.
