This definition controls ONKYO AVR receiver using the ONKYO EISCP network protocol. It autodetects your receiver on the network and pulls most information from it to initialize the definition. Will work for network enabled receiver only.

• Shows media information for audio and video and updates it , if the signal has changed

IMPORTANT/Remarks: You need to enable network standby of your Onkyo receiver to get power on and discover working!

The main receiver page. Usual the screen will be switched to the network services if you select the service from the services dropdown. You can reach the network services directly, if you press the N Button on the right edge of the page. Usual the screen will be switched to the radio services if you select the service from the services dropdown. You can reach the radio services directly, if you press the R Button on the right edge of the page.

The page for network/online services. With the button on the left edge, you can return to the main receiver page. Usual you should see the screen menu options on the right button list. For timing issues, the list migth be empty, if you selct the service. In this caseyou have to press OK once to get into the service menu. I am working on this issue.

The page for radio playback. With the button on the left edge, you can return to the main receiver page.

The main page, dropdown for audio effects. The available audio effects will be pulled from the receiver. Note: The names for the audio effects may differ from the display, as the receiver just returns a number, and the correct name to the number might be different on different models.

If the dropdowns are empty, the definition struggled to get valid receiver information from the device. Try to press at the receiver symbol to pull them again. Some ONKYO receiver have a weak network stack so the network communication gets broken for a while. Nothing I can fix.

This definition defines the following settings:

The settings from the mediaplayer_template. The appfavorites, cmdfavorites, tvfavorites settings are not used. Usual you do not need to adjust any settings for this definition. If you are using multiple ONKY interfaces or the discover of the receiver does not work, you might need to configure the IP port in the interface settings
