Accessories - therenegar/launch GitHub Wiki
Launch! comes with handy accessories that can be useful in a basic DOS environment especially with limited or no connectivity.
- Calendar
- Calculator
- Card Stack
- DOS Fetch
- Journal
- Markdown and Viewer
- Note
- Pixel Draw
- SysEdit
- To-dos
- Units
If selected during the Install program, there will be an Accessories menu created for you in Launch! providing quick access.
All programs depend on Launch! (!.EXE) - for shared UI toolkit, and will take on Launch! configuration settings such as color scheme and mouse cursor - so the .EXEs can't be distributed without !.EXE.
They've all been designed with a tiny memory footprint, and maximum compatibility in mind.
Usable with either keyboard or mouse interaction.
Most feature a Print function. I have designed printing with dot matrix printers in mind for the experience. But different print output options are available.
Read more about print options.
- Calculator: prints calculation history + also a special line printing mode
- Calendar: prints calendar view and agenda below
- Journal: prints current day's entry + also a special typewriter printing mode
- Markdown: prints current document
- Note: prints current document
- Stack: prints current card - top most card
- To-Dos: prints current view of task list (as sorted/filtered)
Any data files for each program are stored in the data sub-directory of Launch!. "Export" will store the output in the export directory. A "Save" function will allow specification of the filename and path.
-
Card Stack: all cards are persisted and that is stored in
data. Using the export function produces a concatenated .TXT file containing every card stored inexport. -
Journal: all daily entries are persisted and that is stored in
data. Using the export function produces a concatenated .TXT file containing every day entry stored inexport. - Markdown: there is no persistence, files are opened from the file-system and saved at your discretion.
-
Note: all tabs and pages are persisted and that is stored in
data. Using the export function produces a concatenated .TXT file containing all notes stored inexport. Externally opened files (in the External tab) can be saved following any changes. The Export/Save button will change according to which action will be performed. -
Pixel Draw: the drawing is persisted and that is stored in
data. Using the Save function allows the drawing to be saved to a specified file. Opened files are not persisted, and when Draw is re-opened (with no file) the persisted drawing will return. -
Stack: all cards are persisted and that is stored in
data. Using the export function produces a concatenated .TXT file containing all cards stored inexport.
