You can create and utilize multiple Marker Sets with BlueMao signs. When a user creates a marker with a sign they have the option of specifying a Marker Set name on the 4th line. All this does is separate that marker, and any others in the same set, to a new group on the BlueMap webpage.

This can be useful for separating what markers mean without having to add a ton of information in the marker name.

You always need to have 1 default marker set. The default marker set name can be defined in the config.yml.
If you update the name after it's already been created then the old Marker Set will still exist with its old name and can still be used.
