Connect To Shared Repository - techtalk/SpecLog-Resources GitHub Wiki
SpecLog repositories can be hosted on a SpecLog server. You can access the repositories on a server provided you have the necessary access rights for both the server and the repository. Refer to Server Access Management for more details on controlling access to the server, and Repository Access Management for more information on controlling access to shared repositories.
When connecting to a shared repository on a server for the first time:
- Select Connect to shared repository from the menu. The Connect to server dialogue is displayed:
- Open the drop-down list in the Server URL field to display a list of all servers known to the client based on your user access tokens:
- Select the desired server and click on List repositories to display the repositories on the selected server.
- Click on the desired repository in the list of repositories. A default file name for the local cache of the repository is suggested in the Repository file name field. Click in the field to change the file name.
- Click on Connect to connect to the shared repository. A copy of the repository is downloaded from the server and a local cache is stored in the file entered in the Repository file name field.
To reconnect to a shared repository:
- Open the local repository file.
- The shared repository is opened and any changes made to the repository either locally or on the server are synchronised.
