IT 115 Wiki Project: Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Project Group Members: Tani, Kim, Kamal, Alan
Artificial Intelligence (AI) was born in 1956 where Allen Newell, J. C. Shaw and Herbert Simon introduced the first AI program. AI allows computers as well as machines to perform intellectual human-like tasks such as reasoning, decision making, problem solving, and the perception of human communication. Computers can be trained to accomplish specific tasks by processing large amounts of data and recognizes patterns.

How Many Types of Artificial Intelligence Are There?
There are four types of Artificial Intelligence:
- Reactive Machines
- Limited Memory
- Theory of Mind
- Self-Awareness
