Intro
This is basically the same information as found on https://github.com/UnifiedEngineering/T-962-improvements but with some additions that I found worth mentioning in my local zim-wiki, so it went here.
I also tried to add a secondary heater to the T-962 by installing a mica heating element in the drawer, where the PCB could be placed on. In the end the attempt failed due to the very uneven heat distribution of the element.
A worthy change was the insertion of an air-straightener into the main fan channel. I had to put the fan outside the housing to get the necessary space (see the pictures in the wiki). There are more pictures, but you need to clone the wiki repo for it. This reduced the temperature difference of about 40K during cooling to less than 5K!
Probably I got carried away a little bit :-)
Overview
The T-962 is produced by a Chinese company named PUHUI T DGC SHZ http://www.puhuit.com. It's basic performance is very poor, so lots of tweaks exist to enhance it and make it a suitable reflow oven (at least for home brewers).
