tactile diagram paper - tactile-graphics/guides GitHub Wiki

This page describes various paper types we have tried for making tactile diagrams. Make sure to adjust the z-offset to account for thicker paper. See printer tips for more information on ideal z-offset values.

Photo Paper

Photo paper seems to work well with 3d printers that have a heated bed but no enclosure.

Cardstock

110lb cardstock cream. 90lb cardstock black.

Printer Paper

Printer paper works for braille and small graphics. Larger graphics and filled shapes will cause the paper to warp due to the shrinkage of the plastic as it cools. Printer paper seems to maintain its shape relatively well when graphics only contain 3D printed braille.
