Implemented Features
Durability
- Durability is halved for any item that can shatter
- Items apply bonus damage and knockback when an attack would break them
- Items take more damage depending on the action taken
- Weapons take more damage based on the damage dealt, and how early the swing was
- Tools take more damage based on the hardness of the broken block
- Projectile weapons take more damage based on the projectile's power
- Elytra take more damage based on the player's velocity
Item Shatter
- Most items no longer break at minimum durability. Instead, items will reach negative durability and gain progressively more levels of "Shattered" as they take more damage, becoming much less effective
- By default, the max shatter level is 3, with each level decreasing an item's effectiveness by ~33.333%
- The Unbreaking enchantment increases this maximum by 1 for each level
- Exceptions include:
- Wooden tools
- Stone tools
- Wolf armor
- By default, the max shatter level is 3, with each level decreasing an item's effectiveness by ~33.333%
Item Repairs
- Anvils no longer have a practical limit when repairing items. The "Too Expensive!" warning is disabled, and you can repair items well past the cost of 30 experience levels
- The cost to repair an item no longer scales with how many times you repair it, but with its shatter level and enchantments
Enchantments
- Curse of Binding is no longer functional on shattered items
- Curse of Vanishing now simply shatters an item, rather than deleting it
- Mending and Unbreaking are mutually exclusive enchantments
