About this Section
ℹ The planning section provides tables for organizing the project schedule by utilizing epics and tasks. Though we’re using the term Epics here, this template’s planning structure should not be confused with a SCRUM-style organization. We’re just merely borrowing the word for large collections of tasks here as it seems suitable.
An Epic refers to a large body of work that can be broken down into smaller tasks. It is a substantial work chunk that addresses a significant feature or functionality in the game. Its scope is broader than that of individual tasks. Unlike tasks, which are typically completed within a short time frame, epics usually span multiple weeks or months and sometimes even extend over several iterations. Epics can represent large features or more abstract parts of the game.
A Task is a specific, actionable piece of work that is part of a larger effort typically represented by in an epic. Tasks are small enough to be completed in a relatively short time frame, often in a matter of hours or a few days. They are designed to be manageable and achievable units of work.
In addition, this section provides an Expenses table which can be used to track project expenses. This is a quick and simple method to track any expenses required by the project and is more suitable for one-man operations rather than teams.
