- This section provides a general overview of all the important information to present a quick and clear outline over the game project.
Vision
ℹ Describe the vision of your game in this section! What title will the game have? Is it a part in an established series or franchise? In essence describe anything here that gives you and your team members a good first impression of how the game will be and what it will be about.
- Title: The game's primary title (can be a WIP title during development phase).
- Series Title: If the game is part of a series then this field should contain the series title.
- Summary: Write a general but short introduction for the game.
- World Setting: The setting of the world the game is taking place in. Examples: Contemporary late 80s, second world war, middle ages, high fantasy, golden twenties, space-colonization future, etc.
- World Size: The size of the game world. Can be the covered square kilometers for sandbox games, or the number of maps and approximate map sizes for map-based games, etc.
- World Structure: Describe how the game world is structured. Examples: open sandbox world, level/map based cells with loading screen, etc.
- Visual Style: Describe the intended graphical and aesthetic visual style of the game in relation to its content. It is also used to describe any UI visual style. Examples: 3D, 2D, realism, vintage, medieval UI with old paper and typography, etc.
- Audio Style: Describe the intended style and genre of audio content such as music (title, in-game, contextual, etc.), environmental audio, background atmospheric loops, sound effects, and dialogue voice.

Marketing
ℹ Used to describe the game in parameters important for marketing. Genre, theme, similar games, target group, etc.
- Genre: The genre of the game, e.g. open-world role-playing game, puzzle, horror adventure. etc.
- Theme(s): Examples: Adventure, horror, western, sci-fi, fantasy, medieval, golden twenties, suspense, thriller, cozy horror, adult, etc.
- Similar Games: Which other games can be compared to this game?
- Competitive Analysis: What does this game have that other’s don’t?
- Marketing Copy: A marketing copy text about the game that could be put on the box backside of the game.
- Target Group: The intended target market for the game. Example: PC gamers who enjoy high definition, immersive games with deep, complex gameplay mechanics.
- Number of Players: The minimum and maximum number of players that can take part in playing the game together.
- Gameplay Modes: Describe the different gameplay modes and/or difficulty levels.
- Player Immersion Values: This is an attempt to understand what kind of enjoyment the player will receive from the game. Examples: Tactical, strategy, narrative, physical, emotional, mental, thrill, etc.
- Minimum Age Rating: The intended minimum age rating. Example: 12 years and older.
- Target Platform(s): Gaming platforms targeted for the game, e.g. Windows, Mac, Linux, Playstation, Android, Windows-VR.
- Targeted Distribution Media: Examples: Steam, Download, DVD, Cartridge, Floppy Disk
- Technology: What technology is used to develop the game, e.g. which game engine?
- System Requirements: The minimum and recommended system specs for each target platform.
- Estimated Price: The estimated market price for the game.
- Estimated Delivery Date: When will the game ship?
