Table Sidebar - syd711/vpin-studio GitHub Wiki
The term "frontend" in this section is used for PinUP Popper, PinballX and PinballY. Some of the sections mentioned here may not be visible due to your frontend selection.
The table overviews left sidebar sums up the different aspects of the selected table. It helps you gain more insights into the tables configuration and tweak it.
Table Media
The media view shows the summary of your table media configuration of the selected table. In combination with the table validators, it quickly reveals if you missed to configure for some tables. Note that the simultaniously playback of different video is quite CPU consuming. If you are experiencing performance issues here, disable the preview for a smoother navigation.

The ALT sound section shows metadata information about the installed ALT sound package, if available. The ALT sound can be enabled/disabled there, so you don't have to start VPX to change the flag for MAME for this.

A lot of modern tables are shipped with their own DMDs. This section is used to upload corresponding archives and shows some metadata about the files.
Table .ini File
VPX stores table settings into a .ini file, matching the name of the .vpx filename. The VPin Studio supports editing these files for existing values.
Point Of View (POV)
"Point Of View" (POV) files allow you to configure view and physics specific parameters for a table outside the VPX editor. The VPin Studio supports the automatic generation/extraction of these files via VPX and supports the configuration for some of the settings that are supported by POV files.
If no POV file is found for a table, the VPin Studio offers a button to extract the POV file:
POV File Extraction Button
Once the extraction has been finished, multiple editors are shown to configure POV settings. The details of these fields are not part of this wiki. Please consult the usual forums for questions regarding POV.
