DMD Positioning on Frontend full DMD videos - syd711/vpin-studio GitHub Wiki

This guide covers positioning the DMD overlay on full-DMD videos played by the frontend (Popper, PinballX or PinballY) - useful for tables whose DMD content is baked into a backglass/DMD video rather than emulated live. Several parameters must be set:

  • You first need a full DMD video for the table. image

  • The B2S DMD image must be hidden in backglass manager. Please note that if your backglass does not contain a B2S DMD, you can skip this point. image

  • As the full video is displayed by the frontend, you have to tell the frontend to keep that screen opened when opening VPX. This is done in the table popup that you can open from various location, see below how from the backglass manager tab image

  • Once done, the DMD position tool will use one frame of your video image
