Scoring Guidelines for Judges (1β5 Scale)
Each category should be scored using the following scale:
1. Innovation & Creativity (25%)
- 5 β Highly original and groundbreaking; demonstrates inventive use of AI
- 4 β Strong creativity; introduces a new perspective or method
- 3 β Somewhat innovative; includes a few creative elements
- 2 β Minimal creativity; largely based on existing approaches
- 1 β Lacks innovation or creative value
2. Impact & Relevance (25%)
- 5 β Exceptionally relevant; addresses urgent real-world needs and is highly scalable
- 4 β Strong relevance; offers clear societal benefits and applicability
- 3 β Moderately relevant; addresses a real issue but with limited scope
- 2 β Low relevance; unclear or limited societal impact
- 1 β Not relevant to legislative or civic engagement goals
3. Technical Excellence (20%)
- 5 β Technically outstanding; robust, efficient, and well-executed AI system
- 4 β Strong technical foundation; mostly well-designed and stable
- 3 β Adequate technical quality; functional but with minor issues
- 2 β Weak technical implementation; limited understanding or flaws present
- 1 β Poor technical design; major issues or lack of AI competence
4. Usability & Accessibility (15%)
- 5 β Highly intuitive, well-designed interface; easily usable by target audience
- 4 β User-friendly with minor usability concerns
- 3 β Reasonably usable; some improvements needed
- 2 β Difficult for users to navigate or understand
- 1 β Unusable or inaccessible for the intended audience
5. Ethical Considerations & Fairness (15%)
- 5 β Thoughtfully addresses fairness, bias, and transparency; clear safeguards included
- 4 β Good ethical handling; addresses most concerns with minor gaps
- 3 β Acknowledges some ethical issues but lacks depth
- 2 β Minimal attention to ethics or potential misuse
- 1 β No consideration of ethics, fairness, or transparency
