Money - sustany/dvg GitHub Wiki
Money is a legal agreement between two parties over a unit of account (UOA) and a medium of exchange (MOE). While generally any material or immaterial object may serve these two functions, today individuals frequently choose a contextual default such as the place of the transaction. Geographic confines will further often stipulate that goods and services use a customary UOA such as the US Dollar ($) for general pricing purposes, while the MOE in most cases takes on the form of digital communication (bytes), instructing intermediaries (i.e., commercial banks) to update database entries (ledgers). These messages may also be issued in physical forms such as paper checks, coins, or standardized IOUs ("cash"). The totality of digital and physical units under a given UOA stipulates a currency.
