Latin for �place� (plural: loci). The place where something occurs or is located. Term is often used in legal Latin phrases, for example:
- Locus delicit is the place where the crime or tort occurred.
- Locus sigilli means the �place of seal� on a contract or written document.
- Locus contractus is the place where last act is performed that makes an agreement a binding contract.
