A franchiser, also spelled franchisor, is one of the parties to the�franchise agreement, under which the�franchisee�is granted a�franchise. The franchisor may be a�natural person�or�entity.

Under the FTC�s Franchise Rule, a franchiser must make certain disclosures to a franchisee designed to inform the franchisee of their expected obligations and provide relevant information regarding the franchiser�s current and future financial condition.
