Conventional international law�is the body of international legal principles contained in�treaties�versus�customary international law�or other�sources�of�international law.�As provided in Article 38(1)(a) of Statute of the International Court of Justice, 26 June 1945, conventional international law finds its source in �international conventions, whether general or particular, establishing rules expressly recognized by the contesting states�.
