Based on the Tutorial from the Nice people over at Hondy Groghut Stuff we can now also use Starcraft BW Remastered

Download required packages:
- Download the game ( requires ~7Gb space initally, you can free up a lot later) There is a link to download the game from official web: StarCraft Installer

Next we should have game version pre 1.16.1 so we need to patch: BW-1161 patch

Installation for Use With BWAPI:
- downloaded and install the game
- go to the game installation folder (you can find there 2 CD MPQ format and game files – mainly is this path
C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft). - rename the files:
BroodWar.mpq –> BroodWar.exeStarCraft.mpq –> Install.exe

Next step will be game installation:
- Either delete the original installation and only keep the two files or Run
Install.exe, - If you want the same path (it will overwrite remastered version if you press default path – probably this
C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft) - upon installation use universal key “1234567890123”
- run the
BroodWar.exeand install BroodWar expansion too - update the game by installing 1.16.1 game patch
- rename the files:
BroodWar.exe –> BroodWar.mpqInstall.exe -> StarCraft.mpq - copy them into bw 1.16.1 directory
- set up your bots or play
- Either delete the original installation and only keep the two files or Run
